Never Enough - Faith & Grace

Green. Luscious. Living. Thriving. Green is a color of abundance and of life. A color that reflects growth and development. As a country girl, I believe there were times I took green for granted. There is something about looking out your bedroom window and seeing green grass, green trees, and green bushes that give you a since of hope and purpose. My husband and I live in a ‘town’ as locals still refer to it, but it has really become a rapidly growing city… There are new buildings going up all the time. There is concrete being poured on all the corners, roads being widened, additional street lights being installed, and lots that are clearly residential marked to sale ‘commercial’ of course. From our town-home you can be standing on farm land in less than a mile… and be walking in to Kroger in less than 3 miles… Our ‘neighborhood’ developed so fast the elementary school doubled its building space in less than 3 years. Family. Comfort. Closeness. Kindness. Oneness. Challenging. Suffocating. Enraging. Evolving. Family is a precious gift from God. People He knew we would need for all of life’s journey. Sometimes they’re blood. Sometimes they’re not. Most of the time they are indescribable. I’m lucky to have a close family. Lucky for us we know close doesn’t mean without conflict. That’s one of the benefits of family. To have people to love you through conflict. Not just through conflict but in the midst of it… Not just in the midst of a conflict but in the end when you feel completely different than when the struggle began. I’m humbled to have family. Loved ones not only to celebrate the highs of life or trudge through the lows of life with but to live life with every day. That’s another benefit of family. To have others to walk this earth with. Laugh. Laugh is not something we do enough! I wonder why the life of an adult tends to have less laughter… My mom recently had a friend of mine & my sister’s stay the night at her house. This friend and her husband have 3 children. I believe 5, 3, and maybe 3 months if that gives you any idea of how much fun was had by those lucky to be there! My mom told me it did wonders for her mood and carried all through the next week. How simple. Laugh more. Smile longer. A laugh just like a smile can do wonders for others. What joy can be found in hearing others laugh! How unique that we all have a different laugh. It is so amazing how no two are the same. God knew we would need laughter and lots of it!
