By God's grace through faith I have been saved! I am a follower of the Living God and although my flesh limits me I work hard to honor Him daily. God joined me in marriage with this amazing man He saved for me. I'm humbled everyday!!

I have another fella in my life...

Meet my dog, Snoopy!
This little fella warms my heart. He is an old soul, loves to cuddle, doesn't mind being on his own, loves watching the neighborhood from the front window, has a strange draw to horses - yes they outsize him by at least 190lbs (he doesn't seem to mind/have any fear of them?!), loves playing with cats - much to my husband's dismay, and greets me with pure joy and excitement when I come home! It is perfect! He wags his tail so fast and relentlessly paws at me until I pick him up for a hug!

 



  Another amazing companion in my life... is my twin sister.
She is awesome, incredible, creative, unique, and absolutely the best friend a gal could have!

 To wrap up I'm an analytical optimist who believes and lives the power of prayer. I have a million thoughts going on in my head constantly.  (My husband wants to dedicate my brain to science, but I figure I better keep it a little while longer and attempt to use it...)

 I am living in a lot of 'newness' right now - newly married, new job, new home in a new neighborhood. I hope you'll join me as I seek God and His will for my life.

 Hopefully, this blog will help you and me as we sort through our thoughts and all that is going on in life. Above all I pray this little space on the web will help each of us deepen our faith in Jesus Christ whose merciful grace saves.

Stay and See Jesus for Yourself

Recently during our Wednesday night women's class, we were listening to part of Priscilla Shirer's portion on the DVD series 'Unwrap the Bible'. We hadn't yet made it all the way through Priscilla's portion when I noticed myself writing these words in my notes, 'Stay and See Jesus for Yourself'. Now, I won't steal Priscilla's thunder or her great points. (I couldn't do it justice.) Let me just say, those words I wrote seemed to leap off the page at me: Stay and see Jesus for yourself. How often do I run ahead of God, too often! Still, at some point I seem to remember to come back to Him and ask for mercy, grace, and direction to walk His way instead of my own. Grit is the gumption not only to keep going when times are tough but to keep going with the determination that God knows what is best, and no matter what He will see you through this.
