Five Minute Fridays is where Gypsy Mama (click here to visit her blog) encourages everyone to write for five minutes. No edits. No over analyzing (which is the direct opposite of how I work and that's why I participate so I can get out of my comfort zone, learn, and grow). You can join too! Just write (or think) for five minutes. Today's topic is 'unexpected'.
Unexpected
Unexpected can be so good….
Like when that kind person at the grocery store with a full cart lets you in front since you only have a handful of items…
Or when your friend calls you out of the blue just to say hey….
When you receive a gift just because….
Those kind words from the person you had no idea you meant anything to or even had an affect on…
People can do things so unexpected.
Then, there’s God.
I know He is the Creator of everything. He loves unconditionally. He provides all things. God will never leave us or forsake us. God is always with us. God always has a plan.
Still, when God answers my prayers it is always in unexpected ways…
He handles those situations I let become a ‘big deal’ as though they're nothing, and He turns trials and challenges into unexpected treasures and rewards. I know God and have faith in Him, and it is Biblical to expect Him to show up. Still, my human self is always in awe because He shows up and works in such unexpected ways.
Have a great weekend!
Visiting from the 5 Minute Friday today. "He handles those situations I let become a ‘big deal’ as though they're nothing, and He turns trials and challenges into unexpected treasures and rewards." This was my favorite part of your post, and so true!
ReplyDeleteI love that God is both the Constant and Unexpected!
ReplyDeleteAmen! The unexpected is oh so good! So glad to be reminded of that today! Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteUnexpected interaction. Isn't it amazing how we are blown away by the strangest things, like the kindness of a stranger and the consistency of a friend?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it ironic how we're blown away by God's consistency, kindness, grace, and mercy? Why are we caught off guard by God's relationship with us? We put Him in the unexpected box too often. His relationship with us is all about interaction.
Expect relationship.
